# Peg-in & Peg-out Transaction Flows

Peg-in: Securely locks Bitcoin in a vault to atomically mint Charms tokens (e.g., zkBTC), using a unique frontend-generated Taproot address with dynamic scripts for signing conditions and recovery transactions.

Peg-out: Burns Charms tokens to retrieve Bitcoin from the vault.

Execution: Users send funds; backend detects/validates incoming transactions, generates required ZK-proofs, and submits for operator approval. Funds/assets are delivered directly to the user's wallet. Supports beaming for cross-chain transfers without wrappers.
