# Grail Pro - Institutional Integration

Grail Pro allows custodians a unique opportunity to become a part of the Grail Pro network by running their own operator node. This allows custodians to integrate their own system with their operator node, in order to achieve fine-grained control over the BTC release policy.

This allows, for example:

● A custodian can stay in control of BTC locked by itself or by its customers

● BTC locked in this way can be seen as never having left the custodian’s wallet

● The policy allows for a 1 of N security assumption, in the sense that by running an

operator node a custodian can prevent other nodes from releasing locked BTC unduly even if the majority of the network becomes compromised
