# GRAIL PRO, CHARMS, ZKBTC
**Abstract**
Bitcoin OS is an ecosystem that extends Bitcoin’s capabilities beyond simple payments into the realm of programmable, decentralized applications. By combining zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), multiparty computation (MPC), and trusted execution environments (TEE), Bitcoin OS introduces a framework for smart contracts, synthetic assets, and cross-chain interoperability without compromising Bitcoin’s security model.
The core components of Bitcoin OS are:
